Joanne Canning
Dr Jo Canning is a Montsalvat’s studio artist working working with UniMCRI- Royal Children’s Hospital and involved with her husband Adam in advocacy for arts inclusion for those with disabilities.Her PhD under her married name Griggs involves natural interventions for neurological disorders. Jo has a strong arts and science research record. Major highlights are her book “Miracle in Potential” (Griggs, 2010), working as a dancer at The Australian Ballet Co. and then actress MTC. Her art work has graced 100 meters at the Melbourne Aquarium and is in many private collections. Jo’s recent artwork is related to capturing the translucency of figures under water.
