Photographer and printmaker

Peter Abrahams is a painter, printmaker and photographer.  He was born in Liverpool and has lived in London since 1978.  His work with the camera primarily involves the scrutiny of objects in the studio.

Sharon Adokorach creates vibrant, improvisational abstract paintings which celebrate colour and self-expression. Sharon explains: “I like thinking what to draw and making my own designs and choosing my colours and mixing my own.” Her works include direct self-affirmations and statements of independence, giving voice to her perspective as a learning disabled woman. Her work is on show at Wellcome (2026). Sharon is a resident artist at ActionSpace.

Born and educated in the Netherlands Living in Geneva for two years and then moving to the UK in 1969, and Wales in 1979 Jacqueline studied Fine Art at the Cardiff College of Art and Design graduating in 1988. She started painting full time in 1993 and is a member of the Welsh Group and Contemporary Art Society Wales

Lea Alquiroz is an apprentice architect, experimental illustrator, and photographer based in Bristol. Her work explores the boundary between architecture, psyche, and speculative futures—often through hand-drawn, visceral imagery. Trained at UWE Bristol and the Glasgow School of Art, her pieces are raw, cerebral, and architectural, unfolding like spatial hallucinations. Lea’s art offers imagined environments where structure meets the subconscious.

Graphic Designer Dominic  and Theatre Designer  Laura  combine their creative skills to construct three dimensional, mixed media collages of buildings and landmarks with character.

A critically acclaimed Serbian-born, London-based artist works in domain of Printmaking and Cite specific installations. She recived both her BA (1988) and MA (1991) from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade. Her work is included in several public collections including Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade, Sebia, V@A Museum, London and China Print Museum, Guanlan, Shenzen.

Jemma lives and works in London. Working in charcoal, she has exhibited in the UK, across Europe, Gibraltar and Colombia. Awards include the Lyon & Turnbull Award, The Royal Scottish Academy; The Academy Award from The RWA; The Royal Society of British Artists residency award at The British School at Rome.

Aradne (b. 1954) is a textile artist who uses free-hand machine embroidery in an intuitive manner to create images that evoke the magic and darkness of her childhood spent in South Africa. With the embroidery she creates figures, birds, insects, flowers and text that come together to form structures that she calls ‘textile collages’. Aradne does not draw onto the fabric first, but stitches straight on without a plan. 

Painting is an opportunity to reflect on what feels alive at a felt subliminal level, in my surroundings, imagination, daydreams; in vague memories and rediscoveries of misplaced things.The process of painting offers them up again, along with those whose work I have always admired from Bonnard to Matisse and the impressionists in general.  With a background in academia I now balance painting with my work as a practicing psychotherapist. 

Lisa is a South East London based artist and printmaker. She studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins and spent over 20 years in the fashion industry, first running her own label and later working with a range of brands. In 2024, she turned her attention to fine art and printmaking. Working across intaglio, relief and woodcut techniques, she is drawn to texture, subtle tonal shifts and the expressive quality of mark making.  

I have been painting in my shed since retiring after 25 years as an art teacher. I have exhibited in Oxford Art Weeks for the past two years and was selected for the Oxford Art Society Open Exhibition 2025. I am fascinated by old photographs, other people's holiday slides, and glimpses of lives far removed from my own. I paint in oils and work small. I like to make paintings that are the size of familiar objects.

Joonhyung Bae (b.1997) is a Korean-American painter whose work navigates the threshold between figuration and abstraction, exploring themes of memory, embodiment, and psychological transformation. Rooted in a process-based approach to painterly construction, his paintings evoke fragmented bodies, emotional states, and moments of becoming or undoing.

Amber Bardell is an emerging nature artist based in Bristol, UK. Having grown up in rural Surrey, they have an intrinsic connection with the natural world. Working in collaboration with nature, Bardell forages natural mineral pigments to make their paint. Fostering a connection through material, and inspired by folk stories, Bardell also works as a curator, muralist, ceramicist, and mixed media artist.

My work explores the stories that are hidden behind everyday ‘found’ objects: papers, notes, envelopes, postcards. Each object is a glimpse of a larger story. Who were these people? What was happening as their lives whirled around this one still point? The objects speak through the artist’s hand, merging my story with theirs.

Nicola Beattie graduated in 1990 from Wimbledon School of Art, London, where she focused on carving large sculptures in wood. Nicola's current work is inspired by castle ruins and archaeology native to Pembrokeshire, where she lives and works. The main ethos of her work is to recreate the feeling of time standing still with echoes of the past through textured surfaces, illustrating past conflicts as well as natural erosion.

Franklyn studied BA Fine Art Sculpture at University for the Creative Arts (UCA), followed by a postgraduate course in theatre design at the Motley Theatre Design Course at Riverside Studios. His sculptural practice explores themes of identity and transformation. Melanie was brought up in South Yorkshire, and now lives and works on the outskirts of London. Her bold and compelling work captures urban landscapes in transition, contrasting remnants of our industrial past with modern construction and development. The underlying theme in her work is change, capturing a point-in-time in a fast-moving environment.

Andrew Bick is Professor of Contemporary Art and Reinterpretation at University of Gloucestershire. He works between there and his studio in London. His monograph with Museum Haus Konstruktiv was published by Hatze Canz in Dec 2020. In December 2021 Bick’s essay Construction’s Other, was published by Sainsbury Centre for the exhibition catalogue Rhythm & Geometry. Iain works as a visual artist, writer, researcher, and mentor with a particular interest in deep mapping. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Environmental Humanities Research Centre, Bath Spa University. 

Josephine Birch graduated with a first class B.A. in Illustration and postgraduate scholarship from The Royal Drawing School, and later achieved a first class M.A. at CSA. She is currently focusing on self portraits often including her son, portraying the privilege and the sacrifice of motherhood. She is represented by British gallery Partnership Editions. Josephine has lectured in the arts and is currently Print Co-ordinator at AUP.

The figurative images within my paintings are largely taken from my personal photos that have captured intimate moments with friends and family, these are then merged with other images that have been found and or imagined. I am interested in the layering of experiences that we inhabit- the ordinary day to day ‘conscious realm’ coexisting alongside surreal, other-worldly ideas and memories of dream-time. Margot Blackk is a contemporary abstract painter based in London. She is completing an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, following a BFA from OCAD University in Toronto. Her layered oil paintings explore accumulation, displacement, opacity and the instability of identity, approaching painting as an autonomous object shaped by material, perceptual and psychological conditions.

“The work I make covers a little bit of everything – I enjoy painting the most, as you can really experiment with it! My main inspirations are old artists, like Picasso and Cubism. I like to paint people who are important to me, family members and celebrities I see on television. Over the past couple of years, I have shown work at the Arnolfini, Spike Open Studios, the Pound Arts Centre and Southmead Hospital.

Sian Bonnell is a UK based artist, living and working in Devon. Her images have been exhibited and published widely both in the UK and internationally. Bonnell’s work is held in several major collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Her monograph Wilful Amateur published in 2025 presents an overview of her practice from 1978 to the present.

Jane Bottery constructs abstract drawings with folded, coloured tracing paper. The starting point for the work is a memory and experience of place, of landscape, of light and air and concludes with an object that has collected and distilled these sensations into a single three-dimensional presence.

Samuel is a first-year MArch Architecture student at UWE Bristol. His work explores the use of reclaimed and readily available materials combined with local construction techniques and skills. He is interested in how architecture can respond to place through resourceful making and material reuse. Model making is a fundamental part of his projects, offering a tangible and accessible way for clients and wider audiences to understand architecture beyond

Virginia Bridge's practice is rooted in geometric abstraction, minimalism and abstract expressionism.  The language of form, colour, line, edge and surface materiality transcends the limitations of the spoken word. Sometimes lyrical, sometimes architectural, rhythm, colour, movement and stasis are drawn into a choreography of colour, materiality and motion; a visual symphony that communicates on an elemental level; like frozen music.

PAINTINGS I am interested in the concepts of time and memory as portrayed in the abstract idiom of painting and my paintings express the memory of landscape [and particularly the light in landscape] and the processes of time. The fragmentation of images and part images and their juxtaposition of clarity and obscurity echo our experiences of memory and time. The conflict between surface painting, as shown in the intimate brushstrokes. 

Holly Brodie is a London-based painter interested in the subjective experience of place. She was brought up in rural Somerset and studied English at Oxford University (1998-2001), where she was encouraged to explore connections between literature and art, which continue to influence her practice. Her work asks how responses to unremarkable landscapes are informed by memories and personal associations, with a current focus on suburbia and its history.

Ian Brooks is a printmaker with the traditional etching techniques of sugar lift and spit-bite aquatint to make closely observed studies of the landscape.

Charlotte Brown (b. 1977) lives and works in London. Her work explores familial inheritance, heirlooms and Freudian psychologies. This piece of recent work centres around an inherited tea set to reference the matrilineal, as a vernacular archaeology. Printmaking and casting are iterative processes within her practice referring to generational inheritance of physical traits and objects. She graduated from RCA in 2012 and UAL in 2024.

Dorset, a new location from Oxfordshire, and Elizabeth Brown uses oil paint to develop her exploration of Middlebere Heath. Her imaginary schematic of  'The DNA of Colour' is her constraint and liberation to this ever changing land. Form is eliminated to explore this hugely emotional response to shifting colours and ideas. 

Lewis Brown is a London-based architect and artist investigating the convergence of digital tools and performative art through sculpture, drawing, and photography. His work explores the mediums of light, matter and time to reveal unfamiliar encounters with natural phenomena. Lewis is currently exhibiting at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2025.

Vincent Michael Brown produces paintings and drawings were mainly of family and friends. Inspired by Freud and Hockney. Twice short-listed for the BP Portrait Awards. Four time exhibitor at the National Portrait Gallery. Twice invited artist for the RP. Winner of the Holburne Portrait Prize, Anthony J. Lester Art Critic Prize 2025, Kenneth Hodgson Memorial Award 2025, 3 RWA Awards etc..

Ella Bryant is a photographic artist based in Bristol. She began her ongoing project, Internal Pressure, in 2010 while studying an MA in Photography at London College of Communication. Ella also works as an Art Workshop Facilitator and Art Therapist.
